EasyMax 4 ‘Alexia’ launched successfully
Today, the MV Alexia was launched successfully at our shipyard. This new building is the successor of the award-winning Egbert Wagenborg and her sisters Máxima and Amalia. The MV Alexia type is the fourth vessel in the EasyMax series in the Wagenborg fleet according to our new energy efficiency targets.
Mobilization pontoon marks start of Wagenborg's first decommissioning project
Today marks a significant milestone in the decommissioning of the G14B offshore platform located in the North Sea, as Wagenborg successfully started to mobilize the pontoon 'Wagenborg Barge 11' in her homeport Delfzijl for this task. This event is the first major step in fulfilling the recent decommissioning contract awarded by ENI to Wagenborg, highlighting the company's expertise and commitment to sustainable practices in the energy sector.
Shipyard Royal Niestern Sander awarded steel works for methanol conversion ‘Fugro Pioneer’
Royal Niestern Sander was awarded the steel work scope in the methanol conversion of the ‘Fugro Pioneer’. In December 2023, the multi-purpose survey vessel arrived at the shipyard’s dock location in the port of Delfzijl. In the upcoming weeks, the first steps will be made in the world’s first methanol conversion project.
Niestern Sander announces 5th EasyMax vessel
Royal Niestern Sander shipyard and Wagenborg Shipping have come to an agreement to start the construction of another 14.000 DWT EasyMax vessel. This fifth vessel in the EasyMax series is expected to be delivered by the end of 2025.
EasyMax 4 Construction Launches with Steel Cutting Ceremony
Niestern Sander Shipyard is proud to announce the initiation of the construction process for the EasyMax 4, a groundbreaking multipurpose vessel. Recently, a steel cutting ceremony marked the beginning of this project, set to be delivered and operational by 2024.
Change of management at shipyard Niestern Sander
Recently, a management change has taken place at shipyard Royal Niestern Sander. As of March 2023 mr. Fokke Jan Botke has taken over the managing director position of Jan Doorduin.
